The 6 Neighborhoods of Winterset
Winterset Summit
Begun in 1989 this 1st Phase of Winterset established the environmental theme with 45 treed home sites and the Cedar Creek Valley preserved for trails and resident recreation. The Ridge at Winterset Summit will be under construction in the spring of 2021 with 5 estate home sites.
Winterset Park
On the south side of 3rd St. and bisected by 3 creeks this neighborhood enjoys interconnected trails with one of Winterset’s waterfalls, two blocks from the Community Center, pool and tennis. This is the neighborhood that earned the first Global Releaf designation from American Forests and the National Association of Home Builders.
Winterset Garden
Maintenance provided villa homes provide an alternative to ongoing outdoor lawn care. A Zen-like butterfly garden and enveloping walking trail with another of Winterset’s waterfalls provide a quiet perimeter environment for the 58 neighbors.
Winterset Woods
Enjoying the majesty of the Cedar Creek Valley, these 98 heavily treed, large home sites bring nature right outside their door. Extensive trails through the woods and encircling the private lake ensure contemplative trail walks.
Winterset Valley
Bordering Cedar Creek Elementary School and with quick access to 3rd St. allows good connectivity for these residents. Trails, playfields and a fun swimming pool add to family enjoyment.
Winterset Falls
Scheduled to begin construction in 2021, these last 3 Phases of Winterset will provide large home sites, adjacency to Winterset Valley and quick access to View High Drive. Trail connectivity will include a vista of Winterset’s largest waterfall.
